Q: FAQs - Employment Procedures > (XII) Can international and overseas Chinese graduates change an employer after the expiration of the previous employment permit? How to change?

Answer:

"1. Yes. The current procedures for employer change for intermediate skilled workforces and foreign workers shall apply to change of employer for international and overseas Chinese graduates engaging in hospitality jobs. 2. Employers shall verify if international and overseas Chinese graduates agree to the continued employment by the same employer within two to four months before the expiration of the current employment permit. If international and overseas Chinese graduates agree to continued employment, employers shall apply for extension of the employment permit of international and overseas Chinese graduates to the Ministry of Labor. If international and overseas Chinese graduates are unwilling to continue employment and want to return to their native country, employers shall complete the offboarding procedures for international and overseas Chinese graduates within 14 days before the expiration of their employment permit. If international and overseas Chinese graduates wish to change employer, the current employer shall apply for change of employer for international and overseas Chinese graduates within two to four months before the expiration of the current employment permit. Based on the intention of international and overseas Chinese graduates, the Ministry of Labor will register related information on the employer change for foreign workers section (https://fw.wda.gov.tw/wda-employer/home/fortrans/expire-conversion) for new employers to contact them."
