Confirmation of Foreign Worker Eligibility, Salary Conditions, and Technical Qualifications
· Foreign Worker’s Application Eligibility:
I. For domestic employment, must meet one of the following academic and work experience requirements:
- Foreign students, overseas compatriot students, or other ethnic Chinese students who have graduated from Taiwanese universities or colleges with an associate degree or higher. (Graduated Overseas Compatriot and Foreign Students)
- Those who have worked in Commercial Port Ship Stevedoring or Container Terminal Loading, Unloading and Handling, and whose employment permit has expired or who have received approval from the central competent authority to transfer employers or change work.
II. For overseas employment, must meet one of the following academic and work experience requirements:
- Foreign students, overseas compatriot students, or other ethnic Chinese students who have graduated from Taiwanese universities or colleges with an associate degree or higher. (Graduated Overseas Compatriot and Foreign Students)
- Obtained an associate degree or higher from a foreign university or college.
- Graduated from a foreign senior high school or higher, and has at least two years of relevant work experience recognized by the competent authority.
· Salary Conditions:
A regular monthly salary of at least NT$39,000 per foreign skilled worker.
· Language Proficiency:
For overseas employment, the language proficiency of foreign skilled workers must meet at least one of the following requirements, graduated overseas compatriot and foreign students are exempt:
- Pass at least the Basic Level A2 in the speaking or listening sections of the Chinese or English language proficiency test administered by the Steering Committee.
- Those who submit an English certificate must pass at least the Basic Level A2 in the speaking or listening sections of a Chinese language proficiency test within three years from the employment start date.
· Technical Conditions
For overseas employment, must obtained one of the following certifications. Graduated overseas compatriot and foreign students are exempt:
- Obtained a Level C or higher certification in Crane Operation or Mechatronics in Taiwan.
- Obtained a bachelor’s or higher degree from a foreign university, or an associate degree or higher from a Taiwanese college, in a Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance–related major.
- Have attended Crane Operation–related occupational safety and health training for 38 hours or more, or have passed a foreign skills test.
- Have attended Mechatronics-related occupational training for 80 hours or more.
- Have passed a foreign skills test.
