Contract Extension and Termination > II. Demise of the Care Recipient
When employer or the care recipient is demise, work discontinuation due to factory closure, suspension of business operations or failure to pay wages pursuant to the employment contract, resulting in termination and other circumstances not attributable to the employed foreign worker, the employer must prepare the required documents and submit them to the Ministry of Labor for the "61 Foreign Worker Transfer" to request the termination of the employment relationship. If the application is approved, the Ministry of Labor will issue an official document. If the employer does not receive this document, please contact 02-8995-6000. After receiving the Transfer Permit, the employer or intermediate skilled foreign worker must complete the process for transferring the worker to a new employer or job within the valid period. Alternatively, with the foreign worker's consent, the employer may handle the procedure for the worker to leave the country within the valid period.
