Q: FAQs - Employment Procedures > (X) Do international and overseas Chinese graduates need to undergo a health checkup?


Answer:

"1. Hiring international and overseas Chinese graduates for hospitality jobs overseas: International and overseas Chinese graduates shall undergo a health checkup within three workdays after entering Taiwan and complete regular health checkups within 30 days before or after the 6th, 18th, and 30th month from the effective date of the employment permit. 2. Hiring international and overseas Chinese graduates domestically: When applying for employment permit, employers may submit the certificate of pass of health checkups (including the health checkup within three days after entry, regular health checkups or supplementary health checkups) for Categories 2 and 3 foreign workers completed within the past three months issued by a designated hospital. Additionally, for foreign workers meeting the requirements as stipulated in Article 43, paragraph 1, subparagraphs 1 and 2, Regulations on the Permission and Administration of the Employment of Foreign Workers, employers may submit the certificate of pass of the health checkup completed within one year after the effective date of the employment permit. Otherwise, employers shall arrange the health checkup for foreign workers at the designated hospital within seven days after the next day of the effective date of the employment permit. Foreign workers shall complete their regular health checkups within 30 days before or after the 6th, 18th, and 30th month from the effective date of the employment permit. "
