Confirmation of Foreign Worker Eligibility, Salary Conditions, and Technical Qualifications

 

· Foreign Worker’s Application Eligibility:

I. For domestic employment, must meet one of the following academic and work experience requirements:

1.  Foreign students, overseas compatriot students, or other ethnic Chinese students who have graduated from Taiwanese universities or colleges with an associate degree or higher. (Graduated Overseas Compatriot and Foreign Students)

2. Those who have worked in Hospital service, and whose employment permit has expired or who have received approval from the central competent authority to transfer employers or change work.

 

II. For overseas employment, must meet one of the following academic and work experience requirements:

1. Foreign students, overseas compatriot students, or other ethnic Chinese students who have graduated from Taiwanese universities or colleges with an associate degree or higher. (Graduated Overseas Compatriot and Foreign Students)

2. Obtained an associate degree or higher from a foreign university or college.

3. Graduated from a foreign senior high school or higher, and has at least two years of relevant work experience recognized by the central competent authority of the relevant sector.

 

· Salary Conditions:

A regular monthly salary of at least NT$32,000 per foreign skilled worker.

 

·Language Proficiency:

For overseas employment, the language proficiency of foreign skilled workers must meet at least one of the following requirements, graduated overseas compatriot and foreign students are exempt: 

1. Pass at least the Basic Level A2 in the speaking or listening sections of the Chinese or English language proficiency test administered by the Steering Committee.

2. Those who submit an English certificate must pass at least the Basic Level A2 in the speaking or listening sections of a Chinese language proficiency test within three years from the employment start date.

 

·Technical Conditions:

I. For domestic employment, must meet one of the following academic and work experience requirements:

Complete one of the following training courses, with a cumulative duration of at least 80 hours, and obtain a certificate or declaration:

1. Training courses on relevant professional knowledge and technical skills organized by the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, or by recognized industry associations.

2. Related internship programs organized by domestic colleges or universities accredited by the Ministry of Education through academia-industry collaboration.

 

II. For overseas employment, must obtained one of the following certifications. Graduated overseas compatriot and foreign students are exempt: 

1.  Obtained a Level C or higher certification in Hotel Room Service in Taiwan.

2.  Have attended designated overseas Hospital Service–related training with a total duration of at least 40 hours.

3.  Have passed an overseas skills test.

4.  Complete an internship of six months or longer in hospitality services in Taiwan within the three years prior to the application date, and has been recognized by the host organization.

5. Obtained a bachelor’s or higher degree from a foreign university, or an associate degree or higher from a Taiwanese college, in a major related to hospitality, food and beverage, tourism, or sports and leisure.

6.  Have at least two years of work or internship experience at an international hotel chain.
